For Referring Doctors

Dr. Robert DeVoll supports general dentists with complex periodontal, implant, denture, oral surgical, and failing-tooth situations while respecting the referring doctor’s relationship with the patient.

Our goal is to help your patient understand the diagnosis, options, risks, benefits, timing, and next steps clearly – and to communicate with your office in a way that supports your treatment plan and referral boundaries.

  • Advanced periodontal disease or progressive bone loss
  • Loose teeth or uncertain tooth prognosis
  • Gum recession or inadequate attached tissue
  • Furcation involvement
  • Implant planning needs
  • Bone grafting or soft-tissue grafting needs
  • Failing or infected dental implants
  • Extractions requiring implant or prosthetic sequencing
  • Loose dentures or interest in implant overdentures
  • Full-arch implant questions
  • Oral lesion or biopsy concerns
  • A complex treatment plan that needs additional explanation
  • A patient who would benefit from a specialist-level second opinion

We understand that your patient relationship matters. When you refer to our office, we aim to support your diagnosis, respect your treatment boundaries, and return the patient to your office with greater clarity whenever appropriate.

We can assist with periodontal therapy, periodontal surgery, implant placement, bone grafting, gum grafting, extractions, implant overdenture planning, full-arch implant evaluation, oral lesion evaluation, and complex case explanation.

If you prefer that our office evaluate only a specific area, complete only the periodontal or surgical portion, avoid restorative discussion, or return the patient for specific phases of care, please let us know.

We are happy to support the role you want us to play in the case.

Some patients need more time, explanation, surgical planning, periodontal management, implant evaluation, or denture and implant sequencing than a busy general practice can comfortably provide. We are happy to serve as a supportive resource in those situations while keeping your office central to the patient’s overall care.

After evaluation or treatment, our goal is to communicate clearly with your office regarding findings, recommendations, completed treatment, and next steps. When appropriate, we help the patient understand which phases are handled in our office and which phases should be completed with the referring dentist.
